How do I maintain the required funds?

For initial application, ฿400,000 must be in a Thai bank for 2 months. For renewal, funds must be maintained for 3 months before application.

What happens if I get divorced?

Your marriage visa becomes invalid upon divorce. You may be allowed to stay until current visa expires but must then change to another visa type or leave Thailand.

Can I work with this visa?

Yes, but you must obtain a work permit first. The marriage visa makes you eligible for a work permit but doesn't automatically grant work rights.

What about the 90-day reporting?

You must report your address to immigration every 90 days. This can be done in person, by mail, or online. Leaving Thailand resets the 90-day countdown.
