How emails are obtained

Addresses on this list are obtained through opt-in only. People subscribe because they want Thailand visa, immigration, and arrival updates that are relevant to them.

We also obtain emails when people engage with our services through LINE, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, or other subscriber opt-in lists. If you share an email while chatting with us, booking a service, or joining one of these lists, that address is added only because you opted in.

We operate informational pages such as TDAC.IN.TH, DTV.IN.TH, LTR.IN.TH, and ETA.IN.TH. These pages are not deceptive. They are intended to be informative resources that we keep updated so travellers and expats can stay current on the topic of each page.

These pages offer an opt-in subscription for email and always allow an opt-out via every broadcast. You can always opt out of these types of emails.

The main purpose is for you to stay informed about your options to stay in Thailand, or to arrive in Thailand as a tourist and stay informed with current policies.

We do not share emails

We do not share subscriber emails with anyone else. We do not sell the list, rent the list, or pass addresses to third parties for their marketing.

This list exists so subscribers can receive relevant Thailand visa and immigration information from Thai Visa Centre, not so that anyone else can contact them.

Spam policy and report rates

Our email provider does not allow more than one spam email to be reported per 1,000 emails.

Our current rate of reporting as spam is less than 1 in 10,000. Most of these reports are done by mistake or simply due to confusion. It is common for someone to forget they opted in. For example, if they opt in, travel to Thailand as a tourist, and later forget that they opted in to an email, this is understandable and well within our allowed spam rate.

Some people also confuse opting out with reporting a message as spam. If you no longer want these emails, use the unsubscribe or opt-out link included in every broadcast. Marking a message as spam is a different action, and it is often done by mistake when someone simply wants to stop receiving mail.

We target a spam-report rate of about 1 in 5,000. We think this is completely reasonable for a list used for infrequent, relevant updates.

False claims that we spam or sell emails

We have been harassed and defamed with claims that we spam our customers or clients, or that we sell emails. This is false and fabricated.

These claims were made by an individual who is currently facing criminal defamation charges in Thailand and has a history of engaging in this type of activity, being hired by competing companies to defame and harass other companies. This is what they do for monetization.

Please disregard this spam. It is not a good-faith report about our mailing list. It is a fabricated attack.

The same false narrative has been used to claim that informational pages such as TDAC.IN.TH, DTV.IN.TH, LTR.IN.TH, and ETA.IN.TH are deceptive or pretend to be government sites. They are not. If you visit each page, you will see at the top that it clearly explains they are not government pages. We also link back to official government resources multiple times on each page so readers can verify information at the source.
