When using a visa agent in Thailand one should be very careful. I've used a few so called "agents" in the past (before finding THAI VISA CENTER) and they have every excuse in the book why they cannot get your visa done and/or refund your money. They sent a currier to collect my passport & bankbook & take my picture. All the time we were in contact w/ each other. They were efficient & timely. It only took 4 days for process to be complete. I have lived in Thailand for many years and attempted renewing myself only to be told the rules had changed. Then tried two visa companies. One lied to me regarding changing my visa status and charged me accordingly. Another told me to travel to Pattaya at my expense. However my dealings with Thai Visa Centre have been a very simple procedure. I wanted to achieve a non-immigrant 'O' retirement visa. Cutting a long story short what official websites said about applying for it and what my local immigration office said were too different things when applying inside Thailand. I literally booked an appointment on the day with Thai Visa Centre, went in, completed the mandatory paperwork, paid the fee, followed the clear instructions and five days later had the required visa. I got a special promotion price and didn't lose any time on my retirement visa if i did early. Courier picked up and return my passport and bank book which was very very very important to me since i had a stroke and walking and getting around is very hard for me and with the courier picking up and returning my passport and bankbook gave me piece of mind for security that it would not be lost in the mail. A fairly easy process carried out. Although I was in Phuket at the time I flew to Bangkok for 2 nights to conduct bank account and immigration procedures.
